White trash… recipes for weight loss disaster in the USA is simply a list of foods that are white that will pretty much destroy any chances you have of losing weight if you continue to eat them. What did you think I meant (giggle… smile)?
Now that all the people without a sense of humor have left, let’s talk about white trash recipes – foods that I think should be thrown in the trash instead of eaten (if you want to lose weight).
Ug… complete trash. Nutritionally devoid of anything useful. Processed to death… literally I mean that. The processing basically kills off anything good it had in it. Full of white flour (more white trash) and high fructose corn syrup. The label on the back of bread bags makes it seem ok, but trust me, it’s about the worst thing you could eat.
White bread is so processed that your body barely needs to digest it. This is bad because then it gets into your blood really fast… thus shooting up your blood sugar levels. The end result is that the bread becomes body fat instead of burned off as energy.
You may think rice is fine since lots of Chinese people eat rice and they’re generally not fat… however, Chinese people aren’t fat because they eat a lot less calories than Americans… not because they eat rice. Also, for your information, Chinese people don’t eat as much rice as you would expect.
White rice is more processed garbage. Everything good that it had in it’s original form is gone by the time it gets put in the package.
This is a big time starch food that causes havoc with your blood sugar levels. If you want to eat potatoes, go with the much more healthy sweet potatoes.
This wouldn’t be on the list if it wasn’t for the fact that our milk goes through pasteurization and homogenization. Just 2 ways that kill and strip milk of it’s good stuff. As modern as we are, it’s amazing how much poorer our foods have become nutritionally.
People from 50 years ago ate way more healthy than we do today. The foods may look the same, but they’re not the same foods. Milk use to be raw, now it’s not. Anyway, I’m starting to rant here.
Since white sugar and white flour aren’t technically foods, I won’t list them… but they’re a big part of the problem for most of the foods we eat.
The only good white food I can think of off the top of my head is cauliflower. That’s packed with too many good things to list here.
So if you’re looking to lose weight, eliminate and avoid the “white trash recipe for weight loss disaster” foods I’ve listed above.
